The Board periodically commissions strategic reviews to ensure Tasmania’s Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy stays current and responsive to emerging challenges and issues.
These review insights guide long term planning, including decisions about major infrastructure proposals and investment of landfill levy funds.
When larger infrastructure projects are recommended, the Board will assess them in the context of broader State planning, including work led by organisations such as Infrastructure Tasmania.
